Financial Help For Injured Workers In California
(PRWEB) January 2, 2006 -- Here is some really exciting news for those in the middle of a workers compensation case and needing immediate cash.
In the past, presettlement funding, also known as a lawsuit advance, has only been available for workers compensation cases in a select few states. That's most unfortunate.
The demand for lawsuit advance funding for workers compensation cases across the U.S. is staggering. A significant amount of these have been coming from injured workers in California. Because of the way their workers compensation process is handled, it has been impossible to do anything for injured folks engaged in a work-related injury action in that state. Since the need is so great, Integrity Funding Sources has been hammering our underwriters to work something out so that we could assist Californians in their need for ready funds.
Our underwriters have been diligently pursuing an agreement with the California board that will allow advance funding for injured workers. Well, Voila! Workers Compensation cases are now eligible for pre-settlement funding advances in the state of California!
We're proud to say the first California W/C fundings have been finished, and are now ready to make this option available to other litigants involved in a work-related injury lawsuit.
Integrity Funding Sources currently represents the ONLY underwriter who has been able to do this and we are so happy to have them on board for our clients now.
Litigation funding, or a lawsuit advance, can be an absolute god-send for injured parties struggling to stay afloat while waiting for their case to settle. Often they face shut-offs, repossessions or foreclosures as their medical treatment, rehabilitation and/or legal battle drags on. This can be especially true for work-related injuries, where the injured worker is now receiving only a portion of their previous wages while unable to work.
In such cases, pre-settlement funding can provide a bridge to cover financial needs until the case is settled. And, as in all lawsuit advances, repayment is only made when the case is won. If the case is lost, the plaintiff pays nothing. The funder assumes all risk for the advance.
For these reasons, we are extremely pleased to now be able to offer this service to injured workers in California who really need it. Our goal is to get the word out to workers compensation recipients who may finally benefit from this type of funding.
